 the late Robert Short’s concern for the well-being of the community’s yout
 h.  United Way of Cumberland County is the trust administrator. Each year\
 , grants are awarded to local programs\, initiatives\, schools and scholar
 ships that specifically benefit Cumberland County youth.\n\nThe Deadline i
 s March 31\, 2025.\n\nEligibility:\n- To be eligible\, organizations must 
 be private or public nonprofit organizations\n- Must not discriminate\, ba
 sed on race\, ethnic origin\, age\, religion or sex of persons served\, pe
 rsonnel practices\, or membership on the organization’s governing board\n-
  If your agency received funds last year\, you must submit a grant report 
 by Jan. 15\, 2025\, before applying.  \n\nThe Grants Committee will evalua
 te each application according to the following criteria:\n- The organizati
 on’s record for successful programming and management to date\, in accorda
 nce with the grant proposal.\n- Potential for success. The Committee will 
 evaluate the goals and objectives of the project to decide if the plan of 
 action has realistic expectations for success.\n- Potential for positive i
 mpact upon service recipients.\n- Cost-effectiveness. The Committee will e
 xamine the relationship between the expected outcomes of the project and f
 unding requested.\n- Future Funding. The ability of the agency or project 
 to attract or develop funds to continue the project after Trust funding ha
 s ended.\n- Evaluation. The project can be evaluated in measurable terms.
