United Way of Cumberland County
Community Impact Review Panel Volunteers (CIRPV) participates with a panel of 5-10 trained and dedicated volunteers. These panels review 2 (two) or more Funding Proposals submitted by our Partner Agencies. The written proposals contain program details, financial reports, and prior program evaluations. (CIRPV) will also make a site visit to meet with the Partner Agency Executive Director, the Chair of the Board of Directors and any necessary staff to see first-hand each program/service in action. (CIRPV) then complete an individual evaluation form to score the overall program and/or service. The entire review panel will compile everyone’s evaluation forms and come to a consensus on a group evaluation score. The Panel Chair will present these scores and any recommendations from the panel to the Community Impact Council who will determine each program’s allocation/funding award for the upcoming fiscal year. These funding decisions and recommendations are then submitted to the United Way of Cumberland County’s Board of Directors for final approval.
