THANK YOU TO OUR FOOD DRIVE SUPPORTERS:

The Fayetteville Observer, the City of Fayetteville, Second Harvest Food Bank, Reed-Lallier Chevrolet, Flow Buick/Mazda/GMC, Powers-Swain Chevrolet, Hendrick Chrysler-Jeep, Valley Auto World, and LaFayette Ford.
And last but certainly not least, thank you to our 500+ volunteers, our partner agencies, and everyone else who helped make 2008 Days of Caring a great success!
What is Days of Caring?
Days of Caring is a community-wide demonstration of the power of volunteering. Hundreds of volunteers across Cumberland County pitch-in and “lend a helping hand” every year during the second week of May.
Volunteer opportunities include park and home renovations, Scouting Jamboree, food drive, building projects, and many more. Participants learn how United Way's Community Impact Partner Agencies deliver much-needed services to people in Cumberland County.
Why should my company participate?
VolunteMany companies throughout Cumberland County encourage volunteerism in their staff and administration. Volunteering for great causes is beneficial to everyone: the agencies receive help serving the people of Cumberland County, the recipients of the services obtain the much-needed help they're used to, the volunteers feel great about doing good for their community, and the volunteers' company is acknowledged by the community as generous and willing to help.
This is a great opportunity for United Way contributors to find out first-hand how their financial support makes a difference. Days of Caring projects are also excellent for leadership development, morale-building, and team building.
