The United Way of Cumberland County is a community impact organization. We study community needs and partner with agencies that impact these needs. The Community Impact/Allocations Council and Community Impact Review Panelists have the responsibility of reviewing United Way of Cumberland County partner agency programs and make investment decisions that have measurable results to change lives and improve our community.

The Community Impact/Allocations Panel examines nearly 80 programs that are funded through the Community Care Fund. The panel also ensures that all agencies meet accountability standards of United Way membership.

The Community Impact Department also supports the Diversity Committee. The Diversity Committee’s main objective is the implementation of the Multi-Cultural Leadership Development Program. The program’s mission is to identify, train, and place minority leaders in volunteer leadership and policy-making roles within nonprofit agencies throughout Cumberland County.

For more information regarding the Multi-Cultural Leadership Development Program please contact the Community Impact Manager at 483-1179 for dates and application procedures.
